We are very excited for our upcoming Virtual Office Hour Session focusing on Lotus Painting Techniques. Please find a materials list below for those who want to paint along with the session.
Paper:
- Single Xuan, Double Xuan, Practice Roll, or Practice Xuan
Color(for leaves):
- Indigo Chinese Chip Color or Winsor Newton Indigo
- Chinese Chunk Yellow
- Best Bottle Ink
Color(for the flower):
- Carmine
- Vermillion
- Yellow
The above colors can be found in the following sets: OAS Ideal Companion Set, Kuretake Gansai Tambi Color Set, Bright Light Watercolor Set, or Marie Chinese Watercolor Set
- Sakura White
Brushes:
- OAS Flow Brush or Little Bud Brush (for the flower center)
- Lotus Petal Brush and/or Large Orchid Bamboo Brush (for the flower)
- Full Lotus Brush, Big Full Moon, Phoenix Brush, Unicorn Brush, Super Flow, and/or 3" Wash Brush(or wider). You may choose any or all of the previous brushes.
To qualify to attend this virtual office hours, simply place an order of any amount with us and you will receive the access information via email.
