This strikingly beautiful winter bird painting is featured in Chao Shao-an's A Study of Chinese Paintings. This is the only book featuring Chao Shao-an's work that we know of that makes an attempt at instruction. The book surrounds his finished paintings with instructive line drawings and analysis written in Chinese.
