OAS' Japanese Sumi-e Ink for Fine Line now available in a cute inkstone style bottle packaging.
The ink was originally discovered for its sense of having more glue with the ink. Therefore, OAS included it in our product line especially for Gong-bi and Fine Line Artists. It not only does it not bleed with first application like others but also, when dry, it does not bleed when additional washes overlap.
The tone is rich in black, has the ability to achieve beautiful gradations with the ability to do washes on top of dried washes without disrupting the first layer. Unlike other Chinese inks, it has a mild pine odor for those sensitive to strong smells.
