Calligraphy: "One World, One Dream"

Although the Beijing, China Summer Olympics of 2008 are over, its theme still rings true as we continue in our pursuit of brush painting, joining with artists worldwide, sharing common experiences and the universal joy found in an art form that spans centuries.

MATERIALS (recommendations only):

Brushes: 

• Happy Dot or Little Beak ['7 Purple 3 Goat' has been discontinued] (for small scale).
• Orchid Bamboo M or OAS Flow S (for medium scale).
• Tiger or Full Lotus ['Lotus' brush has been discontinued] (for large scale).
• Dragon or Phoenix (for extra large scale).

Ink:

• Either Best Bottle Ink or Ink Stone with Ink Stick.

Paper:

• Practice Roll or
• Calligraphy Grid Paper or
• Single Shuen (for experience calligraphers) or
• Double Shuen AO (for beginners) or
• Red Shuen or
• Red Gold Fleck or
• Shikishi Board.
