Additional Information: 01/03/22: We are transitioning to a new batch of Glass paper. It is not as bright white as our prior and has no sparkle to indicate remnants of sizing.
Packaging: Cut sheets come rolled and wrapped in a tissue paper. Five full sheets come rolled and wrapped in corrugated paper. One hundred full sheets come folded and wrapped in paper.
Glass Xuan (Shuen) is a fully sized Xuan paper.
Sized Xuan is custom-made for the Fine-line (Gong-bi) School of Painting. Sizing reduces absorbency. The sizing gives the artist the ability to apply layer after layer of color.
As its name suggests, Glass paper offers a smooth and consistently non-absorbent surface on which to paint. This paper handles repetitive shading with consummate ease. This paper is similar to Shimmer Xuan! Past batches of Glass paper have been off white, cream-like color with no residual signs of a sparkle.
